Nige and I thought that Babe was cool enough for our wedding day and soon after other friends asked us if they could use her too. From that we realised that we should start a VW wedding vehicle business! Simple as that! I’d always wanted to have my own business but nothing inspired me enough until Bug & Bus was born!

Betty has been very busy lately, her black hood has been pulled up and down umpteen times, sheltering brides from the little showers we’ve had these past weeks, but has loved all the attention she gets from fellow wedding guests with many reminiscing of the days when they owned a beetle !

Hello! We’re so pleased to announce that we are now the proud new owners of Solent Bug & Bus!
We took over form Nigel & Nicola in December 2010 and have recently bought our new addition to the family, “Peppa” a 1966 LHD VW Riviera Splitty. She is stunning and has made heads turn all the way to Lepe beach last Sunday. We think she’ll bring a funky and cool new twist for people who want something different!

smile on our faces when it turned up and the champagne was a lovely touch too. The guests all loved the bus and thought it was very original (my parents in particular who loved having their picture taken with it as well!) We couldn’t have asked for anything more so thank you.

Our gorgeous Neptune Blue camper has ceased working as a wedding vehicle. She was our original VW, we got married in her and have enjoyed numerous holidays with her. We missed camping in her too much so decided to just keep her for our family jolly jaunts to Dorset!!
